1. What colours can I get my bag in?
We have 30 colours to choose from and for orders of 10 000+ you may choose from any colour in the Pantone Matching System (PMS) range.

The colour of fabric you choose has no influence on price.

2. Are there any additional charges?
All artwork set-up costs, including a pdf proof and printing plates is included in the price quoted. However, additional costs apply to changes of the first proof or the pre-production sample.

3. What if I cancel my order?
Please note that an artwork and admin fee will be incurred if the order does not proceed within 2 months of completion of PDF proof.

4. How does printing affect cost?
Quotes provided include printing usually on 1 side or 2.

Print cost varies according to the number of print colours in your print design and the number of sides the bag is to be printed on. It is not influenced by the size of the print, except on rare occasions when maximum ink coverage is required.

Note that for standard screen print, block colours must be used with no shading or graduation of colours.

Metallic colours, thicker inks, and prints with large total ink coverage can be done at an additional cost.

Full colour heat transfer print is also available for photo like quality. Minimum order quantities and higher costs apply.

5. What is the fabric weight or thickness?
We rate NWPP fabric in grams (gm) - the higher the number the thicker the material.

Generally speaking we use 80gm material for our standard products, and 100gm for our shopping bags. Messenger bags are occasionally requested in 100gm for the increased fabric rigidity.

Heavier grades are slightly more expensive, but 80gm material is enough for most applications.

6. What's the best handle length?
Handles come as a standard carry or over the shoulder length so please specify which length you prefer when ordering.

A standard carry handle won’t go over the shoulder and is designed to be hand held only.

Over the shoulder handles are long enough for hands free, but don’t drag on the ground when carried.

You can also provide us with your own measurements- all handle lengths are no additional cost.

7. What is a gusset?
This is the fabric running along the side and bottom of the bag that gives it depth (D cm).
All bags with a gusset (except fold-away bags) have piping around all seams so they look better and last longer.

8. How do I know what your quality is like?
smartbag has a two step quality control procedure consisting of a PDF proof and a pre-production sample to ensure that you are happy with the final product.

If, however, you find a fault in manufacture, notify us and we will arrange for some faulty bags to be returned to us. We will refund or credit the amount of bags that are damaged due to manufacturing faults.

We can also replace bags, but it can take at least 6 weeks to manufacture and deliver replacement bags.
